The history of Domaine Gavalas begins in 1906, when Emmanuel Gavalas planted the first vineyards at Vorias Monofatsiou.
In 2001 the vineyards became part of the organic cultivation system, as we believe that the organic products protect the environment from the pesticides’ contamination as well as the consumers.
In 2004 we set up a most modern winery into the vineyards.
Today the vineyards of the domain extend over an area of 300 decares.
The indigenous grape varieties cultivated are Vidiano, Vilana, Malvasia, Muscat of Spina, Kotsifali and Mandilari, while the international varieties are Sauvignon Blanc white, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon red.
All vineyards are cultivated according to organic agriculture production methods.
In 2022 our White and Rose wines received Vegan certification.
